Mission

We want to contribute to the queer community in South Korea, especially during Pride season. Korean LGBT people regularly deal with discrimination due to conservative lawmakers and religious leaders. Trans people in particular deal with additional discrimination and threats of violence, especially trans women facing Korean military service. Even in relatively small instances, queer couples are unable to marry, and can often face harassment when just showing affection in public. Despite these societal pressures, the LGBT community in South Korea is resilient and continues to fight for their rights!

We hope that this project will bring the ZB1 fan community together to create some fantastic work, as well as support charities that progress positive cultural development for sexual minorities in South Korea.

How will this process work?

Here is a basic run-down of how this event will go.

1. Select a creator to bid on

We have many fan creators participating in this event, who share a variety of work! Check out their accounts to see what they like to make, and find a creator that suits what you’d like to request. You can bid on as many creators as you’d like!

2. Click the google form to fill out your information

The participation form includes your contact information (both an e-mail address and an SNS username), the amount of tickets you’d like to buy, and a screenshot of your completed paypal transfer.

3. Send your payment to [email protected] (via Paypal or Ko-fi)

Take a screenshot of your payment and upload it into the Google form along with your contact information.

One lotto ticket costs $3 - please multiply the amount of tickets you want to purchase by this amount! (For example, 5 tickets would mean $15 USD)

4. Wait patiently for the lotto winners to be called, and promote the fundraiser to your followers!

The fundraiser will end on 5/30/2024. (This date was chosen so that we have enough time to transfer the funds before Seoul Pride on June 1st.)

Winners will be announced on the @rainbow_zerose twitter account on 6/1/2024!

Please share this event with your followers- we want to spread it was much as possible to raise as much money as possible for these charities!

5. If you win, prepare a prompt for your creator!

Winners will provide their creator with a prompt (please no more than 6 sentences!). The creator will have six weeks to work on the piece requested, and will share it with you once it is complete!

All creators reserve the right to say “no” to a prompt they are uncomfortable with- if the creator isn’t able to work with your initial prompt, they can help you come up with an alternate option that will fit your interests!

Please note that writers are obligated to a minimum of 5k words for their requested work, and a maximum 15k words. This request is a one-shot, no chaptered long-form content unless the writer is super into it themselves!

Artists are obligated to one full piece of artwork based on their standards that can be completed within a reasonable amount of time. Similarly, this request is a singular stand-alone piece- each artist can individually determine their comfort level in single characters, couples, etc. Artists have the final say in what is a “completed work”.
